"One rotten apple spoils the whole barrel. "

English Proverb ( - )

First of all I don't think there is any split of the community. There problem is that there are probably less than ten people in the community that are at conflict. When they do not conform to the norms of the society, the conflicts begin. The norm and culture of a society tells us how to behave in a community or a majlis. These people bring their personal conflicts into a majlis and when the argument get heated they forget to follow the 'adab' of any majlis. The problem is  that, this is what the younger generation is seeing and learning. They may end up thinking that this is the right way to get things done and hence should be followed. I think this is an unhealthy trend that needs to be stopped.

I also feel that those who are doing community work should be appreciated. These people are spending their time and effort which could otherwise be used  for their own benefit. Bearing in mind , 'to err is human', the mistakes which are done unwittingly should be pointed out and corrected, not condemned in public or behind their backs.

Anyway the existence of this group may be a blessing in disguise because it keeps  those who are doing community works on their toes, making them do their duties as perfect as possible. This will happen as long as they don't overdo it because otherwise in the future we won't  have anybody volunteering to do community work.

Finally I think we all should make use whatever infrastructure that we have as a basis to move forward and work as a team.
