A Malabari among the Maulidur-Rasul award winners

2-May 2004- Sr Nabissah Mohamed made us all proud when she was among the ten chosen to recieve Maulidur Rasul award form His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail. today.
The award was recieved during the Maulidur-rasul celebration attended by about 5,000 people , including Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Fauziah Tengku Abdul Rashid, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, his wife Datin Paduka Seri Endon Mahmood and several Cabinet ministers. Each winner received RM2,000, a plaque, certificate and several books.
Nabissah 48,working as a nurse in Putrajaya Hospital, said that her most trying moment in the course of her job was when she had to sedate a mentally disturbed passenger aboard a flight from Mecca to Malaysia in 1998."We nearly had to make an emergency landing in India when the man started shouting and undressing himself.". "I gave him some medication and he slept like a baby all the way home," she said, laughing.
